Can I get a mortgage as an NQT in a fixed term contract

Options
I've just been offered a position at a school on a one year fixed term contract. I completed university in November and have been working as supply since the end of January. Me and my partner want to buy a house this year and have a large deposit saved. He is on a permanent contract but my income would be the higher one of the two.
Has anyone been in a similar situation but had success in gaining a mortgage?
Thank you!

get a broker who can look at your individual circumstances and find a lender for you.

My friend got her mortgage on a FT contract as an NQT..... She did it at the very ry beginning of her contract meaning she had 12 months remaining.
  • Melj16 thank you, I don't suppose you know who she had her mortgage with do you?
