MortgageNoMore
So I became mortgage free a few years ago through consistently over-paying what I owed. After I paid off the mortgage I said I was going to start just enjoying the fact I didn't have any debt repayments to make. May be it's just a hard habit to break but I am now mortgage free and for the first time this month have a six figure sum in my bank accounts. I think I got addicted.........
Not sure I am going for the full Financial Independence goal but it's nice to know that if push come to shove I can make decisions without worrying about next month's salary
If you had asked me 20 years ago if I would have been in this position then the answer would have been an emphatic absolutely no chance! A few years of really keeping a check on spending can make so much difference further down the line!

This is golden to hear :T. Well done for becoming mortgage free and now living the lifestyle that comes with it. I cant imagine that feeling of earning money which is 'mine' and not the banks.
Im certain i will get to where you are within the next 10 years, will just be hitting 40yo so can enjoy the MF life with my DH and kids.
