Outstanding EE default

Hi I am not sure if this is in the correct forum we have recently gathered our reports together whilst thinking of applying for a mortgage in the future months, I have an outstanding default from 2015 with EE. I have written to EE, I have tried phoning them but they say the debt was passed on to another company but because I didn’t have my account number and don’t remember the old phone number they can’t tell me who it has been passed to. I haven’t received any letters. Would anybody have any idea how I can find out who this debt was assigned to so I can track it down to pay it. It’s so frustrating

Most likely be Lowell, but without a reference number your drifting on a calm sea.
