Hi all,

second question today , sorry I didn't want to mix them up on the one thread.

I decided to sell some of my holdings today the value was £4604.86 the price I got was £4365.94.

now i know values can go down as well as up but that is the price just in one day. I imagine I also have charges but that seems away high charges to me.

the fund is called M&G UK select Inclusive class X Accumulation

does that sound right or are there charges I'm not aware of ?

If you only put the sale in today then it would not have sold yet (unless you did it early in the day). So, maybe the sale price is indicative rather than real?

Or was £4604.86 inclusive of the cash account but the contract note only showing the fund?

To be honest, we could speculate a number of things that HL could probably answer in minutes if you asked them.

Funds are forward priced so you never know the price when you buy or sell. That fund has a valuation point of midday so when you put the order in this morning you will see the price yesterday at midday but it will sell at today's midday price. There are no dealing charges with HL for funds

yeah I did it early this am ... it finalises on 25th

the amount was what was in the fund, not the cash,

I should have phoned H&L but didn't notice till after 5pm .. will phone them tomorrow ... thanks

just saw they are open till 8pm ... will phone just now

    was more curious really

edited to add ; phoned them I need to phone back tomorrow as their help desk is closed and today's price is not available yet ... I just reckoned £238 was quite a lot to drop in one day

    thanks again

It's about a 5% drop, so quite possible.
