Littlewoods - Marshall Ward free delivery

Marshall Ward (part of the Littlewoods group) is offering free delivery on orders over £50, all you have to do is input the cod ZQ450 at the checkout. I made a purchase last night and received an invoice confirming the total charge including delivery would be £52. However, upon checking my current account this morning they have charged £55.50 (i.e. £52 plus delivery!). I called them this morning and they advised that they charge the full amount and then refund the delivery charge. The refund takes 5 - 10 days to process! This is quite unbelievable. Surely they are contravening my consumer rights?? Isn't this misleading advertising?? Nowhere on the invoice does it state that the delivery charge will be applied and then refunded. Has anyone ever experienced this before??
Thanks
