I don't really know about chromecast. I want to watch stuff I download or stream through my TV. I believe I need an adapter. But they range from cheap to expensive. Can someone give me a beginners guide or point me in right direction of something ok. I don't want to buy tat from China

Chromecast only works with CC-enabled apps. You can't stream any old thing to your TV with it
