I'd suggest that if you genuinely are nervous about it, you probably don't want to hear any Natwest stories.
There's very few posts on the internet that ever start "Can I just tell you about entirely uneventful my recent experience was.."
They generally go "I applied for a NatWest mortgage, and just two weeks later, my wife left me and my dog got hit by a truck. DO NOT USE NATWEST!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:"0 -

They are fine. We use them more than any other lender and have only ever had one issue with them in 6 years or so.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. The more you use a lender the more you get to know their quirks, so yes our applications with them are smooth, but I think they are one of the easier lender to work with.

I agree with ACG, I also use Nat West quite a bit and find them very good to deal with and processes are pretty quick.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. They were great with me.
Took about 2 weeks from application to get the offer, I recieve a monthly bonus so they asked for a few extra payslips and that was all.
From there it was 6 weeks and I finally moved in yesterday. I used London and country brokers, who were good (and free) credit check was done at the dip stage and no more credit checks were done.
I would recommend them
good luck 0 -
I have recently applied to NatWest, I have banked with them for several years, so all I had to do was upload payslips. Application took about 2 hours over the phone and that was it. Timeline was:
1.3.19 - Mortgage Application
13.3.19 - Valuation, this took awhile because of agents availability
14.3.19 - Mortgage offer
Touch wood, it has been smooth, paperless and stress free!0 -
We had our offer accepted a few weeks back, got our AIP with NatWest last week. Thursday gone, we went in to see our mortgage advisor to just go through last few bits and pay our broker fee prior to submitting the application.
Hopefully not going to take too long, it's all nerve wracking but whatever will be, will be!
I thought we'd get an email to confirm our application had been received but we've had nothing yet - although I don't mind because I've already decided to stay clear of the tracker otherwise I'd be checking every five minutes!!
Good luck for your application, hope it turns out for you

Wise to stay away from the Nat West tracker. It’s not always very accurate. Your broker will know better what is going on than the tracker often shows.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
