Mortgage application pregnant

Worriedk
hello, first time posting and aware I may get criticised for the below!
We are applying for a mortgage with Santander, Ltv of 85%. We are going through a broker and have given him all the information he needs - apart from we haven’t disclosed that I am pregnant!
I have done the calculations and we would not get the sums that we need to borrow based on 2 dependants (even though we are very used to living on a budget!). I’ve done my personal calculations and we can afford the mortgage repayments with 2 dependants with my salary and while I’m off by using some savings we have.
Anyway my concern is that I was very anxious in pregnancy following a late miscarriage so had a few private scans. In the 3 months statements I have provided there are 6 entries for the name of the scan place. I’m just wondering whether this is the type of thing the underwriters will look at and whether we will be questioned?
I would be so sad to lose this house, it’s our dream house!

Hey,
I found an article from the guardian which said it can be discrimination if they decline a mortgage because of pregnancy. I can’t post the link because I’m a new user but I googled: mortgage application declare pregnant
We’re applying for a mortgage and they haven’t asked if I’m pregnant0 -
A lender can not decline a case because you are pregnant, they can decline it if it fails affordability.
The broker should probably have picked this up, but if it does not pass affordability with Santander then you need another lender or extend the term. You are potentially risking money (legal, valuation and broker fees) and potentially stressing about it through to completion. This is why I always tell our customers to be open and honest with us, then we can find a lender it fits with.
