    At it again!

I've sold a bobble hat (yesterday) and a bracelet (today) on Depop.

It's going to be bits and bobs for us until DD's nursery funding starts in September.

Still, though, that's £6.60 (and, overpaid by direct debit, with a Santander 123, that's £6.67).

    £179,988 to go! :j :j :j
  • Not an OP progress update, but a few changes:
    • I've applied for a promotion at work. If successful, of course, that will increase the budget for future OPs.
    • Home insurance renewed on Tuesday. I've added a voluntary excess, and brought the annual cost (2019/20) down to £87.
    • This Home Insurance is on a 0% card, so that's something else to add to my SOA.
    • In April I'll/we'll have a new salary (annual increase will be applied, whatever the outcome of my application), a new mortgage interest rate and monthly payment amount (this is confirmed already, and in the current SOA) and I'll renew car insurance as well.
    • 0% runs out on my purchase card (Virgin Money) enxt week. I've got a 0% Balance TX card (Barclaycard) to move new purchases to, and I'll be cancelling with Virgin (sorry, Richard!) and using the new 0% Clydesdale card which was approved on Wednesday.
    • DD turns 3 in May - so nursery costs will drop too.

All change again then! Nearly time for a new SOA!

Am in awe if that truly is all you are spending on food a month - wow :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hello beingjamie :) you're doing really well with selling bits and bobs, especially vhs tapes - most people literally can't give them away (including me!) so props to you :) And getting a promotion would be a big boost, of course.

Agree with beanie its time for a new soa :) there's a few alterations needed to give a clear idea, like, even though you pay for something on a 0% credit card (which is great!) you're still paying for it. You sound like you can go all out on this, you can get quite a few years knocked off your mortgage debt like this, good luck!

    Thank you!

Yes, we are doing well. It's simple things really - batch cooking, planning our meals and watching our (food's) use-by dates.

DD also eats at nursery for her four days a week, so we're very lucky there.

We're all vegetarian, which also helps, and we shop via our local market for fresh produce and get everything else from Sainsbury's Basics.

    £7.50 banked to OP today.

I've sold an old t-shirt and a branded foam beer holder (to keep a can warm).

My Depop page is really helping at the moment! (user: jsm_555 for following)

I'm off to the bank today too, to pay in a fistful of small change I've been collecting off the floor.

There's probably £5 or so there too.

    Bit by bit! :j :j :j

No probs: Depop is like eBay. I use eBay too, but have found Depop better for selling clothes/accessories.

Probably because I've already sold of the higher-value items we had!

Depop works jsut like eBay. It's only an app - you can't buy/sell on a laptop/desktop, and any listing can only have four photos. It streamlines the sale a bit and makes it quicker to sue.

AND - listings don't end! They just stay on there! So I manually relist the same items on eBay, but just leave them up on Depop until they sell!
