Window live / hotmail / whatever it's called - HELP

My hotmail account changed tonight without warning to the new style and I don't like it. That's why I kept classic hotmail option rather than switch.

Can someone tell me if with the new one you can

1) edit to have your favourite contacts showing and not all of them ? I have to have several people as contacts in case they email me and it doesnt go to junk folder, but I don't want them showing everytime I compose a new emails (I like to have my 30 or so most used showing as opposed to 200 contacts)

2) Have more than 25 messages per page ?

3) As default, have oldest messages at top rather than having to press the arrow change it every time I return to inbox ?


I can't find the above options anywhere and I just don't like it at all !

i'm still on classic, just changing to the new live version and it tells me that if i don't like it i can go back to classic from the options.

Yes, I was on that aswell and wanted to stay on the classic, but when I logged in an hour or so ago, it said 'YOU HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO NEW XXXXX BLAH BLAH'

I didn't even have a choice :mad: It happend to my friends account last week and I thought she pressed a button by mistake, but now its happened to me and I can't see ANY choice of switching back


The only positive is that there is a 'vacation reply' now and the option to save sent messages, but other than that I don't like it

Happened to me at the weekend too. I loathe it.I sent them a scathing email, but it won't change things. I even sent them an email when it was beta and went back to the "Classic". Only good thing is that I'm not getting loads of junk mail.

I have subscribed to this thread and although webmaster@moneysavingxxxx etc is on my 'safe' list, it keeps on saying it's harmful, so I have to say it's not, then click on allow content and then click again to read it ! What a pain in the A***. I have also sent them a scathing email

I would switch tomorrow and use yahoo or whoever if I wasn't going away on holiday in which I need my email for all the time (work) and my work email is forwarded to the hotmail account
