hi I had my telephone interview today and we talked through how I found myself in this position etc my creditors and invited me to ask anything. she said she was going to send a file to my creditors to tell Tham I was bankrupt etc and that I may still receive calls and letters for next 2-3 months until they updated there systems etc and if I had any issues to direct them to her and ignore any threats of legal action etc. she basically said to get on with my life and go about as normal. at no point did she tell me that I may or will be asked to pay my creditors with any surplus each month and a little confused now as to what happens next. do I receive a formal letter after this interview to confirm anything and ask for a payment or would this of been mentioned today in the interview? what I am asking is will get a definitive yes I will or no I won't have to pay a payment or will no payment be asked as it was not mentioned today?do I wait a week? a month or longer before I know where I stand regarding a regular payment? she did say that they would nit be asking for any assets off me as it was in no ones interest and therefore no assets will be uplifted. anyone shed any light of me as I feel in limbo at moment. many thanks

Hi,
If you have less than £20 disposable income you won’t get an IPA, if the OR didn’t mention it, then don’t worry about it.
That’s it now, after 12 months you will be discharged, and that’s that.
Get on with your life, what else were you expecting ?
Bankruptcy is a very simple process normally, quite easy to instigate, and as long as it doesn’t affect your work, has very little impact on day to day life.

If they’ve not mentioned an income payments agreement so far then they may not have established if it’s suitable yet. They doesn’t mean you won’t get one though - they can still assess if you are suitable for one throughout your 12 months bankruptcy. You may hear nothing more, or they may ask you to evidence every single household expense! It depends if there are any expenses that look higher than expected.
Ring them and ask, it’ll put your mind at ease and it won’t change the outcome either way.0
