Yes it was more of an observation about whether a fuller comment should be given about paying creditors preferentially. The issue would only come up if your situation suddenly became worse and you had to use one of the bankruptcy options.
SC has made assumptions, based on his experience, of risk that you might be exposed to. I've made mine on a more pessimistic basis. But as was said, you can make any decision you want as there is no law against paying preferentially outside of the bankruptcy envelope.Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.

Hi there, hope you can help , I’m in a DMP with step change, have been for 3 years now and I’m in a position to try to settle my £22,000, which I racked up through my husband leaving me and having a break down. I’m all good now,
can any one advise me what is a fair percentage that I could offer to settle my debt?:):
