Uniform Tax???

in Cutting tax
Hi,
I am wondering in my last job, I had a unform. Am I still able to claim laundry expenses for the uniform, on the time I worked there, if I filled in a P87 form? Despite no longer working there any more.
Many thanks in advance.

What makes you think you couldn't do this?
Presuming that your employer didn't provide you with washing facilities.
You should really complete a P87 for every tax year you are claiming for (5?) but it may be simpler to just send HMRC a brief letter stating what type of business you were working for (different trades may get different amounts) and which tax years you are applying for.
Don't spend it all at once though! If you can only claim the big standard £60/year then you could be looking a total refund of approx £50 for the past 5 years (assuming you are too late to have this year's tax code changed).0
