Actually a credit question...

Options
Hi there.

So I'm looking to get a credit card to help me build up my credit score, both clearscore and experian rate me good, but can always go up right? Wouldn't use it for big purchases necessarily.
Does it matter who you go through to get the card between Exp and CS? Rates are the same on both cards I'm looking at.

Thanks

If you are looking for a credit-building card, then you should try your own bank first. If they decline you, then you would probably need to get a sub-prime card such as CapitalOne or Aqua.

Ignore your credit score as lenders neither use nor see it. Your credit score is for your eyes only. A lender scores you against their own independent criteria and policies using the data held on your credit files, added to the data you submit in your credit application.
