IQOR Calling my mum constantly

Their operators are disgusting, they over talk you. My mum called me today very upset and said a company keeps calling me, they asked to confirm her name and address, she wouldnt and replied who are you. They replied due to data protection act we can't discuss it untill you supply information. This has been going on now for a week, calling four to five times aday. I told her to call them back, she confirmed her name, address and telephone number and she then went on to say, what is this about. They still wouldnt tell her untill she confirmed her previouse addresses. I told her to hang up and then I called, I gave her mums address and phone number, I couldnt get a word in anyways, she kept talking over me. I continued to say that from now on, no more communication will be made via the telephone, if you require any information, you should contact my mum via official letter with regarding the query made. I have asked her if she is in any debt and she replied no.
The main reason I have created this thread is to ask if there is any official gov agancies to stop these IQOR from calling my mum constantly and to make a complaint. My mum now doesnt answer the phone as she is stressed out with the way they talk to her, its come to a point where a official complaint has to be made against IQOR. Thanks guys

What is IQOR? who are they?
I would not have called them back, if they can quote data protection to you, then you certainly should tell them that you will not be giving personal details over the phone to them.0 -
Is it something to do with you refusing to pay for your tv licence, are they phoning as well as writing to you? Sorry, I've not heard of them0

Can you get call barring on the telephone. If not next time they call, explain you will only deal with correspondence by letter, ask for name of operator and make a note of the name, date and time of call.
IQOR are the name of a debt collection agency which implies that they are trying to collect a debt, however, I have recently been chased by debt companies for a debts that I don't owe.
I would also write to them and ask them to provide you with any info they have on your mother under the data protection or freedom of info act.....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I have just googled IQOR, they are a calling centre used by the CSA apparantly. Could the CSA ( child support agency) be after someone at that address? of course they may be used by another agency, I have never heard of them either0

IQOR are a debt collection agency, i've seen the name on CAG a few times.
It's hard but i wouldn't contact them. If it's a debt they're after they will write eventually if they get no joy on the 'phone. I would tell your mom to simply log the call dates and times ready to make a complaint to them for harrassment when they eventually get in touch. One step at a time0
