Am I missing something? Surely, if you are not sleeping you have no reason to be late to work.
If it is due to a lack of sleep meaning you are unable to work properly, then surely the same issue will impact on the afternoon shift.0 -

There must be two of us. See my post (#17) above.0 -
I have to admit i can't do mornings because my medication makes me drowsy (im a lot more alert after midday). i didnt dare say anything for the first 2 years as i was scared they'd sack me, but eventually i got a fit note that stated i couldn't do morning shifts and luckily as we opened quite late i was able to later shifts.
However i do have a diagnosis so it as easier for me to get adjustments. I do understand how hard it can be to get help, ive spent the last 5 yrars begging to be reasssessed for my mental health and the asessment was a shambles and i am once again left to cope on my own so i do get your frustrations. Might be worth seeing another GP if you can, sometimes you have a to try a few before you find one that listens and actually wants to help. If you could get that support, it might lead to a diagnosis,.,which might lead to reasonable adjustments later on (if its deemed a disability under the equalities act)This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
