I usually get my tea bags when they are on offer in Iceland and can sometimes have as many as 6 240 bag boxes in the cupboard....I'm a big tea drinker
So today was the 1st time in months I'd gone shopping for tea bags and wow, have they gone up in price !

Where is the best place to go currently for something along the lines of Typhoo or PG Tips....or should I be giving the own brands a go ?

I shop in Lidl,Sainsburys,Iceland,Farmfoods and occasionally B+M and Home Bargains so it's no point suggesting anywhere else really....apart from perhaps online.
Thanks

:money:Consider making a pot of tea, rather than a cup

    Or reuse teabags:money:

The Tesco value ones are brilliant and only about 57p for 80. They are branded as Stockwell and Co. My DH is very particular about his tea but he was very impressed with these and I'll never buy branded again.

Whoops! Just re-read and you don't shop at Tesco. Hopefully might be good info for someone else though so won't delete.

Tea has become more expensive over recent months; didn't the owner of Typhoo Tea (Tata Beverages?) state that the currency fluctuation over the E.U Referendum would mean prices would rise?

I'm more of a coffee drinker, personally, but it's very rarely I purchase big name brands now.

I like them. If you're a frugal re-user, the second cup can be a bit insipid though. Unless you make the first cup without stewing for too long.

I'm (allegedly) a bit fussy about my tea and I have found Lidl Assam or breakfast tea to be fine, certainly better (to my taste) than typhoo.
