The end is in sight

I wish I had found this site and forum 5 years ago.

I took out two personal loans to invest in something recommended to me by a close family member. Long story short, it went belly up, leaving me with £25k debt.

I took advice from another waste of space and eventually took matters into my own hands.

I decided not to do an Iva or bankruptcy and managed to negotiate with one company, to halve the amount and I put it on a 0% credit card. Sadly the other company was not as accommodating and they sent me to Moorcroft debt recovery. I have been doing the credit card shuffle since and paying Moorcroft £25 a month.

The only downside is that Moorcroft shows as a default each month on my credit score.

I currently have £6400 debt left, split on two cards and with Moorcroft and I’m slowly but surely getting there.

I am going to make Moorcroft an offer this week, as I get my yearly bonus at the end of March.

Any advice welcomed.
