Kondo fans are gonna love this! I considered posting on "In My Home" but I think this is going to get a better audience on OS.
Check this out for Japanese efficiency, they have really thought hard about all aspects:
I particularly love the furniture sock and the TV and light fitting boxes.

I watched that and thought it was amazing, but I can't even begin to think how expensive that was. I also loved the Grandmas that come and help you unpack at the other end! As an aside, the couple (Rachel and Jun) have a few YouTube channels and post some really great videos about their life in Japan. Jun has a separate cooking channel (Jun's Kitchen) which is really good - not perhaps great for everyday recipes but he's a really talented chef. They also have lovely cats

My husband sent this link to one of our friends the day it came out. They were in the middle of packing to move at the time :rotfl:.
I've previously seen this as japanology plus did a piece on moving in Japan a year or so ago, but it is amazing. Would love this here but it must be quite costly.
As Callie22 says their channels have good content.
I've been watching them for ages. Every now and then through the video my husband heard me go 'where is Nagi' (thier third cat).
Husband has been watching Jun for about a year, since his how to polish a rusty knife. He was like you have to see this, showed me his phone. I couldn't believe it as I'd watched it earlier and was about to show him the same video.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy

It doesn't look a lot different to the "packing service" I've seen.
What is different in this video to the UK packing/moving firms? Apart from them flogging you new appliances if you want them to.0 -
Politeness combined with efficiency, protecting the walls and floor (never seen anything quite like it), solution for every packing dilemma. I guess if you don't have a lot of stuff it doesn't look like a big deal, but your appreciation would be magnified exponentially if you did.PasturesNew wrote: »It doesn't look a lot different to the "packing service" I've seen.

And yes I did watch some of the other vids, and love them!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

That's amazing. Anyone who has ever used British removal men will know that, while they are usually brilliant and worth every penny, they're not as careful and polite as that! I love the way they labelled everything to show which shelf it came from.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0

I winced all the way through that video waiting for them to drop a heavy box on their stockinged feet or trip over that free-range ginger cat... But at least I didn't need to worry about the walls getting scratched, phew!
