Advice needed please (sports course)

I paid for a fitness course upfront, nothing was signed on either side. The money was a little less than £600 and I unfortunately became ill on the day of the course with 2 different infections and couldn't attend the course. I let the people who run the course know. They have told me that they they dont when or if they will EVER run the course again.
Do I have any rights? Am I entitled to a refund?

I’m curious to know what training provider offers a course, that will never ever run again ? What faith and clout in your Qualification are you going to receive that has a once in a life time course ? Question that0
