Interest Rate Lies / Scam?

"I have excellent credit".......who told you that?
The Queen ::rotfl:0 -
Can you please explain the scam, 'cos I can't see it. Or is this just another non-scam scam post?I just think it’s a scam,0 -
I absolutely agree, and that’s the amount I was looking at, too. It’s only money, haha!0

Perhaps ‘misleading’ is more appropriate? Anyway, help or advice is required, not people pointing fingers at my demise :j0

Not sure what help you now want......you either accept the rate or you don't?0

@rigsbyx
I'm just curious to know whether Tesco will offer you a lower rate, after their review of your application. If it were me, I would make a third application with another borrower, and see who gives the lowest rate, applicable to your circumstances.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I have excellent credit,
Obviously you don't or you would have got a better rateThat has now been marked against my good credit rating, and I’m really mad about it.
What has been marked against your good credit rating? (I thought it was excellent?) Credit files don't show the interest rates that you are given.
Also I believe that checking your personalised rate on the website will only result in a soft search which will not affect anything on your credit files.
If your credit is as excellent/good as you think it is, why don't you apply for a 0% card rather than a Zopa loan0 -
There are all sorts of reasons why people don't get the headline rate and that is always made clear at the application stage. It could be something they don't like re your circumstances, moved recently, not on electoral roll, too much other debt or short employment history. Equally it could be the company have met their targets for that month and are not really interested in lending or it could be the amount of the loan is too high or too low depending on what their targets are for that month. Whatever it is it is not a scam, just normal business practice. They do not have to lend to you. A certain percentage will get the headline rate but for whatever reason you do not fall within that group.
You can apply elsewhere. Nothing to stop you doing that and your credit score is meaningless. Seriously, argumentative and rude people like you belong back on Twitter. If I didn’t have good credit, I would simply accept it and walk away, and I certainly wouldn’t be posting anything on here, complaining. But I do have an excellent credit score, and that is my POINT!
As mentioned with someone else above, I asked what to do NEXT... I didn’t ask for idiotic and extremely CONDESCENDING replies :T
PS - I already have a 0% interest card with Virgin for 28 months, but I’m certainly not going to finance a car on it. Hashtag stupid suggestion! :rotfl:0 -
Thanks you for your constructive reply, it was most welcome :beer:0
