Serps

Hi, I keep getting a post regarding compensation claims on opting out of serps. I did in around 1989 ish, my grandfather was a broker at the time. Not sure what it's all about. Can anyone advise please, by the way I'm not to bright when it comes to this stuff. Thanks

Hi, I keep getting a post regarding compensation claims on opting out of serps.

    Facebook by any chance?

So, you want to put in a complaint about your grandfather and get compensation from him?
Can anyone advise please, by the way I'm not to bright when it comes to this stuff. Thanks
Ignore the adverts. They are using a Spratt to catch a mackerel.
Almost everyone who contracted out is better off. The failure rate is only around 1% according to the FCA and the FOS complaint stats show contracting out of SERPS as the lowest uphold rate of any financial product.

These companies use your data to pass on to other companies to then try and sell you a pension transfer after telling you your pension is rubbish (even when it isn't). That is where they make the real money.

FCA guide says that if you were under the age of 45 at the point of contracting out then you were not mis-sold.
