Reusable sanitary pads

Has anyone used reusable sanitary pads? What are the practicalities day to day, particularly when out and about? I'm not sure I'll be comfortable washing them out in the sink at work so do you carry them around all day? Not sure hubby would be keen on the idea of them in the wash with our clothes either. Any brand people recommend? I currently use night pads all the time as my flow is heavy. Any advice appreciated.

When out and about just pop them in a bag, to bring home and wash
As for hubby not being keen on washing them with clothes, im sure in all your years you must have leaked in your underwear or on bedsheets overnight, and i assume you washed those?
I cant suggest any brands, as i havent used pads for years. I much prefer menstrual cups0 -
You can usually fold them up into a little package using the poppers. Then you can carry a small wetbag to keep them in until you wash them.
I also am not really sure about the issue with washing them with the clothes? If they are heavily soiled you could put them through a rinse first then wash them normally. You shouldn't use any fabric softener with them though so if you normally use that, wash them separately.
I bought mine years ago so can't recommend any brands. I suggest trying one or two first to make sure that brand suits you."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
