"I will be 55 in Jan 2016"
Which makes the OP 58 now, much too young to claim Pension Credit.

The OP's question as posted is confused and does not make sense. Perhaps he can clarify.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -

But the OP suggests that their husband is 65 and is the one that has applied for Pension Credit ?
I know the rules are changing shortly (in May?) but think that at present a couple can claim pension credit as soon as one reaches state pension age, even if the other is younger.
But it's not clear what the OP is actually asking .....0 -
It depends when the OP's husband was 65.p00hsticks wrote: »But the OP suggests that their husband is 65 and is the one that has applied for Pension Credit ?

If he was born in March 1954, his state pension age will be July 2019 - which is after the change in May and would therefore not be able to apply for pension credit as his wife is too young.
A very odd post, definitely needs clarification.0 -

It seems that the OP's husband is already 65 but she has not provided his date of birth.
At one stage, the OP was considering taking her DB pension with actuarial reduction which would have given her a pension of around £2000 a year - she might not be aware that this would be included as household income in the PC calculation?0
