Hi All,
I have a query
I have a new build house (6 months old)
The house is 4 bedroom
My bills are £300 approx per month
Does this sound right? It seems a lot to be honest
Thanks

Hi - your bills will always be much higher in the winter than the summer, but even given that £300 for a winter bill sounds on the high side for a new build 4 bedroom house. First thing to check is whether this is based on an actual or estimated reading - if based on estimates then these could be way out as this is a new house and they have no history to go on. Also, make sure you are on the best tarriff, not just the standard tarriff the builder left you with as that can make a big difference too.0

Your title is air source running costs - are you asking are they cheaper than what you are currently paying for gas/electric/oil, or is that what you can directly attribute to your ASHP?
If it's the former, then they may well be, it just depends on how you use your energy?
Essential for me, and should be for most people who want to manage their energy costs - take your own meter readings monthly and submit those - even if your provider says they need quarterly.
You know then how much you've used, and can do an accurate comparison when it comes time to switch.
If its the latter - dunno is my answer?
Are your current utilities on fixed or variable tarrifs?4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.0
