I have a SIPP held in cash with HL.It was opened in tax year 2017/18 with the maximum you can put in when not in work £2880.I withdrew 25% after the tax incentive was added. Now have a balance of £2701.My question is: Can I transfer my balance into a new sipp with HL for tax year 2018/19?

You don't need to transfer, just make a maximum £2880 payment into it once new tax year starts. HL will then reclaim tax as before.0

Thanks,I was thinking the way I explained because I don,t have the means to put another £2880 in plus i don,t need to wait for the new tax year to start as this tax year 2018/19 is a "new tax year"as I haven't put anything in for this tax year."Bigamy is having one wife too many.
