I remember you saying that in an earlier post. If she registers for SA will that mean she then has to fill one in every year? When I looked it up it said that if you earn over 100K (which she does) you have to register for SA but her salary sacrifice keeps her below 100K... and also below the reduction of tax code allowance :jDazed_and_confused wrote: »Possibly, which would be much more information than is required on a Self Assessment return.

She wouldn't have to do one every year for ever no, not if there was no reason to.
She maybe doesn't strictly meet the rules for needing to complete one anyway so you are probably doing the correct thing and contacting HMRC first.0
