Lowell: Unenforceable Debt

I was wondering whether I could get some advice.
In 2011 I defaulted on a loan debt to RBS. In 2015 I asked for a CCA (should have done it sooner), which came back that they were unable to produce a CCA or reconstitute one and therefore would not be able to take court action against me. I then stopped paying them January 2016.
I am now being chased by Lowell, whom I understand buy up unenforceable debts. They have called and texted me, which I have ignored so far. The text included a reference number. I think they are just fishing, but I want to make sure they have my up to date address details (which RBS had) so I am wondering whether to go to their website and enter the reference number. Though this would confirm my number, would it also ensure they are unable to try to get a speculative CCJ at an old address?
Not sure what to do, whether to wait until they contact me in writing.
Many thanks
Ben

Wait for written contact, then inform them they have bought an unenforceable debt, attach copy of RBS letter.
They should back down at that point.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. @Ben75
Do not contact Debtwizard1 as it appears they probably represent the Debt Management Company 'Debtwizard.com'. They are after your business and money...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Why are asking folks to PM you for advice (both on this thread and another Lowell based thread)? If you have any advice to give, then that should be out in the open forum. It just smells fishy to me...Debtwizard1 wrote: »Yeah very deductive @willingtolearn but completely incorrect.
