Lowell responded opinions please

So for those who know here's the original thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5965100/should-i-now-pay-these-debts I bumped it several times and had no response so I am starting this one to get final opinions.

Debt of £2.2k down to £450 F&F offer accepted

So they have responded to my email asking them to explicitly inform me that I would be not held liable for the remaining of the balance once I have made my full and final settlement payments as people pointed out this was very sketchy and I could be pursued or the debts sold on again.

Here is there reply

upon completing the payment arrangements in place, the remaining balances would be written off and the accounts closed. This means there will be no further monies due towards each account and we would not contact you again to recover any further monies.

If the accounts are closed due to a discount being paid, the accounts would not be sold or passed onto any other debt collection agency or the original clients

After that mentions the partially satisfied stuff

Is this enough for me to move forward and get this debt of my back

Have you actually got it in writing anywhere that they have accepted £450? Your last post was a bit confusing as seemed they were passing it on?

I wouldn't be paying the three installments of £150 if you have not got a letter confirming they will accept £450 to settle the account.

You want letters through your door confirming this not emails. Stick to doing everything in letter form so you can keep a paper trail

Looks good. I have done the same. Just keep the letters. Maybe email them to asking that once they have received all 3 payments of £150 , you will be released from liability and will not be pursued for the remaining balance and that the remaining balance will be written off. Plus ask that the remaining balance will not be passed onto anyone else to pursue. I myself have loads of emails saved and a few letters. Although be prepared to use those letters because my remaining balance was sold to someone else.

Looks about as good as you are going to get.

I would be happy that’s covered most of the bases.
