quick question:

I've read that, if I have extra cash available, to consider buying extra pension via a lump sum (think I missed it for this year) but that the amount I can buy is reduced because of the EPA.

The costs and limits are significantly dependent upon age.

It would be best to use a computer with Excel as there are multiple options, such as paying monthly or by lump sum payment, and whether you want dependent benefits to consider.

Look at the EPA estimator to see how much of the shared EPA/Added Pension limit you are using (which I suspect will be most or even all of the limit if you are young), and then use the Added Pension calculator to see how much whatever you have left of the limit can be used to purchase Added Pension.
