Just been into my local Lidl store asked the manager about this offer. He told me it is very very limited stock and they sometimes sell out within the first hour!

Yes indeed.... that.... plus the fact that this offer doesn't start for another week....

But yes if you find something that is a good deal at LIDL, ALDI or NETTO then make sure you get there for opening time!

very good deal considering a 300 gig drive from ebuyer costs 113 incl VAT, then add shipping!
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

Got one of these and happy with it. Very good for transfering large volumes of non-networked data. Took about 26 mins to transfer 20 gig of stuff, so not too slow.

Please note... whilst the advert says 300GB, the drive only has 279GB of usuable storage space (I'm using Win XP SP2).

    Hello,

Just a quick question - when you bought the drive, did it come formatted, or did you have to format it yourself?

    Thanks for your help.

    Kind regards,
    Steve

SMH's right, this comes formatted, although nowadays it's very easy to format drives.

TBH I don't think it's that much of a bargin. Amazon.co.uk sell the Buffalo external 250GB HD for £99 all inc so this is £30 more for 29GB (not 50GB really). This Targa one is good spec wise though - 8MB buffer, 9ms search time, etc. Not sure of the cache for the Buffalo one.

I got mine in Leyland (just down the road from my house) and they had loads but you needed to ask because they were kept in a secure room. I would probably say they have some left so if u want to nip down it J28 off the M6 less about half a mile away!
