Advice on completing on BR form

Hi

I am trying to apply for bankruptcy online.

I am at the part where a list of creditors is required. I am afraid there are many.
I have ignored all correspondence and received letters from debt collection agency’s for pretty much everything and have two live CCJs at present

Do I list the creditors as the original companies (bank and credit cards) or do I list the address of who ever sent me the last request for payment - debt collection agency?

Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you

  • I also ignored all letters and calls, think its quite normal so don't worry- i called it ostrich syndrome haha just buried my head. Anyway the OR was quite understanding about this and said it was normal to not have 100% up to date figures.

Also i had one CCJ passed in December. I just put it on my list as original creditor and then explained the ccj to OR and gave the solicitors details over the phone.

    Good luck :)

You could check with the Credit Rating agencies to see which debts are still with the original creditors and which have been sold on. But don't delay if you need to go bankrupt ASAP.

General rule is any debts you owe when you go bankrupt will be included in the bankruptcy, even if you forget to include details of them in the application. Or in this case gave the wrong owner.

So press on to the best of your ability. No extra points awarded for neatness.
Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.

Wherever you can give the details of the latest company to contact you about a debt. The OR will write to the creditors on your list so if you give them the original company the debt has been sold to then the debt collector won’t know about your bankruptcy and will still send you letters. You will then have to tell them as it’ll all be hassle you don’t need to sort out.
