This might sound like a silly question - but can you freeze cabbage?
The portions that you get from the supermarket or the local indian market for a single household are too large.
Frozen cabbage curry is not good either - hence the reason for asking.
Thanks in advance

I freeze cabbage, I blanch it first.
I generally add it to mashed potato as a topping for shepherd's pie (ups your 5 a day).0 -

I'd make a nicely browned bubble and squeak (or patties) and either eat over a number of evenings or freeze. Individual portions are particularly good for heating and sticking in a bap / as a veggie side portion.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I tried it once, it was horrible when defrosted and cooked.
I must try blanching it, maybe I will have more success.
Thanks for the tip.

I would freeze it by shredding and open freezing then bag up. When you want some, take however much you want, boil water and when boiling turn off and put the cabbage in the pan. Put lid on for a minute or two, then it will be cooked.0
