    Just done the forecast and it says £164.35 per week and that is the most you can get.

    That was till April this year. Do I assume from that that he is fully paid up and doesn't need to pay any contributions when he leaves work at the end of May this year?

    There is no point in making additional contributions if he has achieved a full new state pension.

    If he still has enough of his tax personal allowance unused after he retires he could pay £2,880 into a SIPP and it will be topped up to £3,600.
    Is he able to increase his current work pension contributions. If they offer salary sacrifice particularly worth thinking about.
