Debt consolidation/credit score

Hello
I was just looking for some advice from people that may have gone through so something similar.
I spent some time jumping from 0% Interest credit cards unfortunately, due to a few uneducated moves I unknowingly lowered my credit score to the point i was no longer eligible.
I'm now really struggling with high interest credit cards barely making my repayments.
I'm considering debt consolidation through a debt service. It seems to be my only option. I understand this will do my credit score no favours. But am struggling to find a straight answer on how badly and for how long
I'd appreciate any advice
Thanks

Hi,
You've possibly ended up in the wrong bit of the forum - easily done. Try posting again in the Debt Free Wannabee main forum rather than the diaries sub forum - that'll get you more responses.
Credit score in itself doesn't mean a huge amount. When you're applying for credit, each lender will have its own criteria around affordability and any defaults/missed payments etc. It may well be that you're being turned down not because of any score but because of the overall amount of credit you are carrying.
If you post an SOA people can help you to look at your budget and advise on which options are realistic for you.
Good luck. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
