    Great post especially as maybe people expect outperformance rather than implementing/suggesting suitable solutions, so do not understand the role of the IFA. As a user of an IFA I’m also aware that increased regulation that hopefully protects the less knowledgeable also increases their costs. IFA firms are there to make money like all businesses and as far as I am aware they are not excessive.

    So I suggest reading Dunstonh’s post and taking an informed decision to utilise an IFA or not.
    It is OUR choice.
