Preliminary research on debt advice provision

Hello,
I am a researcher at UCL and I am conducting a preliminary study on debt advice provision. My purpose is to hopefully improve in the future the way help is delivered.
But right now is I who need your help. What I would like to know is, for people having money issues, whether or not you are seeking help with debt advice organisations (so no forum like this one, but rather companies or organisations like the Money Advice Service) and if not, what are the reasons.
You can answer here or contact me in private. I will treat everything anonymously and no data will be saved. After a week or two I will also delete this thread to not leave anything to posterity.
