Sniff smart relays to measure output?

Options
Apologies if this has already been discussed before, I did search

Is anyone using a Sonoff Pow R2 or similar to monitor their solar panels?

I've bought for two reasons.

Firstly, it means I can see the output from an Android app and check for any concerns.

But more importantly it has IFTTT integrationso it can automatically control smart sockets/relays and switch appliances on and off at optimum times according to output rather than time.

I'm going to buy one initially so it is effectively dumb - it only knows the output from the panels. But if it works I will try to get something to measure grid input (probably via CT clip) so if someone at home is cooking or similar it won't turn on appliances even if the PV output is good.

Would be interested to know if anyone else is using smart sockets in this way.
