Commercial union homemaker policy endownment

My ex partner and i opted in a life assurance homemaker policy endowment in June 1994 and paid monthly until the house was sold in February 2006 when I separated from partner and resided into rented accommodation. I still have both of our policys paperwork but have no idea what happened to the money and it should have matured in June 2009. I am still in contact with ex partner, who would be willing to co-sign any paperwork. Thank you
