Where to put keys and gym card??

Have always found quality gym wear has pockets/pouches in them to store the items you mention. Currently using some Lululemon* “In Mind” yoga shorts for exercise and am rather happy with them.

I regularly do this, also when I go out jogging, or just walking. I attach my key(s) to a snap hook, which goes round a shoulder strap on the bra. The lot then gets tucked into the bra. Surprisingly, I have never found it uncomfortable in any way.
