I have been entering the daily magazine competitions and use the Lucky Dip to select the numbers. I don't know how high each sequence of numbers goes, but it is at least 60 and possibly 100. The probability of matching a series of three numbers must therefore run into hundreds of thousands. I am no mathematician, so perhaps someone else could work out the exact probability of matching the numbers.0

So it's not surprising that the end date is usually shown as "Until won"0

They used to have end-dates when the prizes were much larger and no prize was given out if it was not won by the closing date (it is possible they had insurance to cover themselves against a big prize win so they were paying a far lower fixed price anyway than the value of the prizes).
Presumably with the small value of the prizes now they are quite happy to cover the infrequent cost and can let them "run till won" - there are a few ordinary "mag dailies" with them and they are the ones that have fixed end-dates0
