Hello all,
I was wondering if you could share your ideas for celebrating your birthday on a budget. Also fave things to do in your leisure time (I live in London and am trying to take up more walking and free events - enjoy museums for one).
Happy frugal Sunday!

Greenwich park is lovely and if the weather is good, you can have a picnic. There are two free museums and the free astronomy gallery too. If the weather is no good then you can eat at the pie, mash and liquor shop too (instead of a picnic). The shops in the village are nice to have a wander through too, as everything is just so historical...

Just an idea...

I spent my last birthday in the British Museum. I took a sandwich I made at home and some snacks for the trip.
With the weather getting nicer, picnics are a good option.0 -
Outside of London, things like a trip to the seaside can be a cheap trip.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Thanks all. I used to plan drinks every year but left it rather late. Will spend the day frugally, perhaps a museum. I've knocked £23 off my phone bill with EE today, every little helps.Achievements:

If you shop at Tesco and collect points you can get three times the value for your vouchers by exchanging them online for vouchers for attractions or meals out (usually only the food and have to pay for the drinks).0

A good wander around colombia road flower market down through to old spitalfields market is always fun on a sunday, deer spotting in richmond park, watching the pelicans in st james's park, a drink in the bar at the sky garden (just one!!), or a really nerdy one that my OH loves doing - monopoly london - doing a tour of london to hit every single location on the monopoly board.Debt Totals July 2019::

Play spooky games at St Dunstan’s in the East, go to Covent garden and find the hidden ears, go to No. 10 Adam Street and for pics. Lots more free stuff around if you look. Plus eat in the Crypt under St Martins in the Field.0

There was a scheme whose name I forget, to specifically to list all the free places in London. Some are only open for 1 day a year, including 10 Downing Street.Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.
