Decided to email Lowell today to discuss a parent plan and go through my SOA with them. Received an automated response with a multitude of questions; see below:
"THIS IS AN AUTOMATED REPLY. IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY CORRESPONDED WITH US FROM THIS EMAIL ADDRESS, YOU DO NOT NEED TO SUPPLY SECURITY INFORMATION AGAIN.
Dear Sir or Madam
Security information
If this is the first email we have received from you from this email address, we require some security information to verify that you are the account holder.
Please confirm:
- Your Lowell reference number (this can be found on the front of any letter we have sent to you)
- Your full name
- Your full address, including postcode
- Your previous address (if any)
- Your full date of birth
By replying to this email, you also confirm that you give authority for us to record this email address and correspond with you by email."
Is this normal. Do they need all of these answering? It feels like they are fishing for more than they need from me.0 -

Much easier and less hassle to send a good old fashioned letter.
