I "need" identification to prove my age.

Tomorrow I am 65, and there heralds yet more problems. Everywhere since the age of 50 / 55, there have been concessions/reductions for people of a certain age, providing proof of age is shown. The trouble is, I don't and have never driven. My state pension will be paid into my bank so no book to show.
The added problem is that I actually look at least ten years younger than my real age.

But do you have the letter from the DWP stating that you are now entitled to your State Pension? That should be sufficient proof

your birth certificate should be enough proof.

OK, I'm back. The last shall be first. Ref bus pass, yes I have one of those, but it dosen't actually state anything about age, other than the holder is entitled to half fare. Yes, I have the letter stating my entitlement to state pension, I could photocopy that, equally I could do the same with my birth certificate. Assuming you have no docs to prove your age, an easy way is to get in touch with a notary public and get a deed poll done. Then get about producing some kind of an id like a driver's license or a passport. IDs are important and you can need them at any time.
Cheers
