Well after reading the post on this forum for weeks, I have now filed for Bankrutcy after taking advice from cccs . I filled most of the forms out online about two weeks ago, then I got the bury your head in the sand thing
again. Finally yesterday ( it took me all day ) got them all finished and submitted. I have now got my hearing ,it is the 27th november. I am not proud that I have got to the age of 55 and had to confess to my other Half who has just retired how out of control my credit card spending was.
I couldn't believe how well he took it and has even offered to go to the court hearing with me. So I would just like to say thanks to all you guys and gals for your inadvertant help.

Morning Jaysgirl.Welcome.
Well done on dealing with your problems. It takes a lot of curage (specialy at our age Im a tiny bit younger than you).
I tried to decide if this ment we had tried for a lot longer to deal with the problems and therefor had more stamina or not as bright as some of the other BR who are younger and seem to see things more clearly quicker
Came to the conclusion it had taken me longer to get into trouble because credit was not as readily available when I was younger and banks could be negotiated with and (know this bit is harder to understand if your under 30) you could talk to a person who cared about you and your money and would try to help:rolleyes:
Over the last 10 years credit has become such a big business and its so easy to get it wrong when the nice people want to give you help with another loan ,limit increase ect:o
So no diffrance is not due to age just a change in business attitudes IMHO.
Sorry about wittering:o :rotfl:
