Indeed, after all any car on lease or PCP will be owned by a company but usually the registered keeper is insuring it.0 -
The car I drive is owned by my mum and is insured as such. The log book is in my name, I pay for the VED, MoT, insurance, petrol, maintenance etc... I didn't notice any difference in the cost of insurance for saying I'm the registered keeper but not the legal owner. This may be different for business insurance though (assuming you're not just driving a van to do the shopping).
As I've seen about adding named drivers down I though I'd add that I've been driving for a while, have the max NCD for most insurers etc... yet my insurance is cheaper if I add my wife as a named driver (by about £100 a year) and she has a provisional licence. Not sure on the logic on that one, but it's saved me a bit on insurance over the years.I may be wrong sometimes, I learn a little every time I'm corrected.0
