Discharged - Thank you!

Hi all,

Today is a good day for me as it's 12 months since I went Bankrupt! I've just spoken to the Insolvency department and they've requested a copy of my discharge letter to be sent via email, so I'm looking forward to receiving that email!

My next plan is to look at cleaning up my credit file, which I've seen a few posts on here already.

I just wanted to say thank you to all for the assistance with everything over the last year, it's been much appreciated, I've had questioned answered which were bugging me at times.

For anyone that has just started the process or is thinking about it, good luck and it's nowhere near as daunting as I first thought, although I appreciate everyone's BR is different - There is light at the end of the tunnel! :)

No rush. You've got another 6 years of a bankruptcy marker being on your credit file.

Indeed - but the AD date is a milestone for many who are rebuilding their lives and from personal experience - for me, AD day felt a bit like the first day of spring after a very long winter :)

I'm aware of that, however, isn't it another 5 years as 1 year has passed??

Totally agree with you, it does indeed feel like that! I didn't have much sleep last night but I woke up full of energy as I knew today was the day! :j
