We lost paperwork.

So, our debt was discharged and everything finalized, we moved a few months ago and seem to have lost that specific packet during moving but none of the other bankruptcy stuff and taxes are coming up. We need a specific paper called a 309A because one of the lenders that was discharged is trying to 1099 us. But our lawyers assistant seems to be reluctant to provide us with the paperwork we’re requesting, she’s basically told us, without actually saying it, “you’re !!!! out of luck”.
I understand we should have kept track of it better but !!!! happens, and stuff gets lost especially during a move.
What can we do?

Hi. Unfortunately this is a British forum discussing the Law of Bankruptcy in the UK. I'm not sure you will get many replies about USA law?
Hope the paperwork turns up? Have you checked every box or whether you can get duplicates?0 -
If you look at the 309A form
https://www.uscourts.gov/sites/default/files/form_b309a_0.pdf
It says in the middle. All documents filed in the case may be inspected at the bankruptcy clerk’s office at the address listed below or through PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records at https://www.pacer.gov).
Have you tried that?Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.
The law is like an ocean - have a swim but don't drown.0
