It's free to make a complaint.
It's not an offence to have PPI though. You need to send your complaint reasons to the lender.
However, there's virtually no chance of them having any record of your loan after 29 years.0 -

Simply having PPI is not wrong.
It can be "looked at" and it costs nothing.Could this be looked at and What Is the Cost?
Simply make your complaint, along with your reason(s) to Merchantle, but it's unlikely they'll have any details after 30 years.
