Paid up endowment

Hi all,
Can anyone give us a bit of advice about how to find any information on an endowment policy we had years ago ? Im pretty sure it was with either Standard Life or Legal & General linked to a mortgage we took out with Natwest in 1988 but have no paperwork Am i right in thinking that the policy was sold on and that any monies that we had paid woukd be held untill maturity ? Neither of us remember getting any cash back at the time so was wondering what to do next ?
Hope someone can point us in tbe right direction !

  • How long did you pay premiums for - if for only a few years then there is unlikely to be much value.

Have you approached either L&G or Standard Life and asked them if they have any records of you? That would be a good first step.
  • Thanks, I will contact both and see if they have any records.I think we had that mortgage for around four years, i had completley forgotten about the policy,
I doubt there will be anything but you never know !!!
